My research led me to this solution: Rub TEA TREE OIL (available at health food stores) into the scalp well and leave on for 15-20 min. Shampoo out with a clarifying shampoo. For her the results were miraculous and she was extemely happy/relieved. Good luck! I know how upset she was and is always extemely clean. Apparently the cause is a fungus infection.
