Once your teeth start to decay, it will develop tiny holes called cavities. Cavities and tooth decay are often used interchangeably to refer to the same thing. There are several different causes of tooth decay including not cleaning your teeth enough.
Tooth decay is one of the most common health problem in the world and can be seen mostly in teens and children.
If you don’t take action to treat tooth decay, it can lead to infection, tooth ache and eventually tooth loss. There some other complications that we’ll discuss in a future article.
You probably know that properly brushing your teeth, flossing and visiting the dentist regularly help prevent tooth decay. What you may not know is that there are home remedies that help prevent cavities. We’ll talk about that in one of the following articles.
As always, prevention is better that cure.
